形態特徵

• Rhizomes fleshy, 3-4 mm in diam., rooting at base. Pseudobulbs closely aggregated, elongate clavate or nearly cylindrical, 5-9 cm long, 4-6 mm in diam., erect, ascending or often prostrate, with a few inconspicuous nodes, enclosed by membranaceous scales toward base.
• Leaves solitary, nearly sessile, cordate, 8-15 cm long, 5-8 cm wide, apex acute, base cordate, fleshy, mainly 3-nerved, pale green, usually with deep green blotches and reticulate veinlets.
• Peduncle 20 cm long; bracts lanceolate, 1-1.5 cm long; pedicel and ovary 1.2-2 cm long, glabrous. Flowers 6-8, rather crowded, 4 cm in diam.; sepals green, with brownish purple veins, dorsal one lanceolate, 2.2-2.5 cm long, 4-6 mm wide, acuminate, 5- nerved, lateral ones longer, to 3 cm long, oblique at base; petals similar to sepals but broader, to 8 mm wide; lip whitish, flushed with yellow toward apex, with red spots on lower half, ovate, 2.5-3 cm long, 3-lobed, lateral lobes broad, semiobovate, erect, midlobe triangular, strongly downcurved, acuminate; disc with 3 yellow ridges; column 9-10 mm long, 4 mm wide, foot 10-13 mm long, with minute red dots on ventral side; anther truncate-cordate, with 2 rounded processes at apex, 4mm long, mainly 2-celled; pollinia ovoid, laterally flattened, each group attached to a broad viscidium; rostellum triangular.

• 台灣 : forests below 1,000 m, throughout.
• 世界 : Southern China and Vietnam.
